The Carleton Community Centre is an inclusive recreation and wellness facility located in West Saint John. We aim to provide accessible programs and services that enhance the quality of life for residents in our neighbourhoods.
Daily supervised recreational programming for children ages 6-16.

Join our Art Mamma for adult classes offered weekly throughout fall and winter programming.
Always a popular part of our evening youth programming throughout fall and winter programming. Free equipment available.
A men's recreational basketball game takes place every Friday at noon during the fall and winter. Call David O'Toole at 674-1639 for details.

carleton all-star cheerleading
Carleton All-Star Cheerleading is an athletic program for all ages, which operates in a custom-built gym on the second level of the centre. Find out more at www.carletonallstars.com
carleton community garden
Our community garden is led by volunteers. It features 33 plots (6 raised), with 6 herb boxes, a greenhouse, 9 trees, and blueberry, raspberry and rhubarb patches. Produce from the garden is often donated to the West Side Food Bank. Please call 674-4307 for more information.

CST. Don Metcalfe provides community police services. His office is located on the main level of the Centre. The Community Response Unit takes a proactive approach to crime prevention and is focused on building partnerships.

Youth dances take place every Friday evening during the fall and winter. They serve as a fundraiser for the Carleton. $2 (ages 6-9yrs) 7pm- 9pm | $3(ages 10+yrs) 7pm- 10pm

The Carleton Adult Learning Program offers academic upgrading and GED preparation. Our small class sizes helps adults improve thier math, writing, and computer skills, as well as prepare for the GED. The program is offered at no cost, and learners work at their own pace. Contact Paula Ross at 333-5480 for more details.

The Carleton Community Centre is home to the Port City Pickleball Club. With a current club membership of 60, the sport continues to grow in popularity, particularly among the senior population. Membership fees apply. For more information, contact Mike at 672-9566.
The summer playground program is a free 8-week drop-in program for children ages 5-12. The program includes daily sports, recreation, arts, crafts, outings and games, and is designed to promote recreation and healthy neighbourhoods.

zoomers on the go (50+)
Zoomers on the Go is a falls prevention/health promotion program for the 50+ population in Saint John. Exercise classes are led by senior volunteer leaders and provide valuable information to improve health and mobility. For more information, contact Jill at 674-4307 for more details.
